Ok the lack of profile text is a good point and also the locations, with locations it used to be optional then we made it mandatory when people joined so I am guessing that is part of the problem. We might be able to do some kind of prompt for people when they log in to upfdate them.
Thing is some people do want to keep their location private, as for the distance problem we are currently working on that at the moment, I will check where we are with it and let you know.
