back in 2006 bbn and i talked about swinging and googled swinging and u guys popped up so here we are

We checked out AMM and found it difficult to use and mainly full of single males. We still have a wander through there from time to time, but have not bothered contacting anyone there. We are currently premium members at redhotpie and have made some good friends there over the years. Their site is easy to use, but a bit expensive for what we get out of it.
We found swingersheaven a few months ago and find it a much friendlier site. We particularly enjoy the chat rooms which are far better than anything else we have found thus far. We had a little trouble navigating around the site initially, but it has become second nature at this point. We also like the concept of meet and greets and have invited a few longstanding friends from other sites to attend on the 5th in Melbourne. We are having a great time on Swingersheaven and look forward to being around for a long time.

Thanks for that, things have certainly taken off here now found out today that we are top on for the search term swingers so we are attracting the right kind of people to the community on the net.
I have had feedback from a number of members that they were from some of the other sites and since finding this place are saving their hard earned money. 
The social side of this site is really good and we have a new reputation system coming that will weed out the wasters and no shows to meets that is really good.
We got a bit caught with our trousers down traffic wise so the servers could not cope but have just bought some really nice Dell servers that are being set up at the moment. It will mean that the site runs a lot faster and will sort the growing pains out for a long time to come.. but it is a nice problem to have really

AFF we keep our guest membership but might log on every 3 weeks. AFF does have a good system where people only show up that have viewed your profile match what you are looking for.
We wont pay again because we feel they delibertly misled with buy 12 mths membership and get 18 mths.
AMM, We have a paid membership but the cheapest type and we wait till they have a real special. Has good search functions and profile descriptions.
RHP, We have a paid membership the cheapest membership again waited till they had a real special search functions good and a good forum. But our impression membership is heavily slanted towards Bi, Gay, and weird sex play.
SH .....
We see people that view us but dont click on the profiles, as they could be any sex etc and anywhere in Australia, we only want to view within 200 klm and couples.
Some profiles are lacking serverely and feel should not be published if there is not 50 words in the description and where they are.
SH Appears slanted towards live chat, we are not a fan of that. Maybe have a look how RHP has done their forum and copy their layout, this one is quite spread out and really is not used much.
We have not met anyone off SH but the other three we have.
By waiting for real subscribtion specials costs on AMM and RHP for 12 mths is around $ per year.
For these three sites we are OK with a total of $ / yr.

in the near future we will "hide" all profiles that are inactive for more than 30 days so you dont have to try and plough through lots of profiles that are not being actively used.
Happy to look at organising the forum side of things so maybe areas can be localised, there is a great local search on here if you use it under the main search tab. The people who might interest you should be local and show their distance from you, providing you have entered your location. But i know there have been a few techy issues with it so I will check it is working as it should be. With regards to who has viewed your profile you have just given me a good idea for that as an improvement

agree some mods and ex mods do a good job on the social scene. and no more so then bikie and bbn--who do a fantastic job.
as i said in the header sweetbbw told me about this place---reason i joined here-- as one member on the amm site was a pain and realy made the room unbearable.
since joining and kinda got roped into doing the meet and greets here in tassie---which i dont mind doing--i might add---i 2 have gone back to amm (as i wanted to find some ppl who was heading to tassie), anyway some of the people i used to talk there--are now members here as well.
i have found another "free" swingers website---which i joined---but only stayed there for a few minutes--as there set up look funny to me. but i think in honesty--i dont think theres too many tassies on that site anyway.

We take it that mongobongo is a 'nom de plume' used by the site owner. Perousal of the profile give's little indication of such being the case, although posts from the said mongobongo tend to support that view. Accordingly we make the following observations;
- We are paying members of AMM. There is much merit in them having Bpay as an option. If such was the case here, you would have our $ contribution also.
- We found this site quite by accident. Of all places, we came across a reference to it on a facebook post, belonging to a couple that we were sounding out.
- Love the site? Hmmmmm perhaps a tad more like, "it is slowly growing on us", bit then again, so too will a fungus. You just have to stand still long enough, LOL.
At present we think this site it is just a few heartbeats behind AMM. But this site has real potential mostly due to it's forums and the absence of dummy profiles. But don't get too excited, as the big downer on here, "is profiles without adequate information". Your's of course mongobongo, being a classic example. The search function could also be a bit more user friendly. The instant messenger function, when implemented will be a real winner. At the moment we will rate you a goodly 6 out of 10.

I also like how the mods are hands on and get involved in things rather than being faceless entities and also the Admin who do come into the chatroom and make their presence known as well - I see a lot of members who do appreciate that the admins can come in and have a chat, and that the mods arent just there to enforce the rules they also like to have fun as well.
I love being a moderator here because of how we are also able to get involved, other sites don't really tend to offer that at all. been there done that and wouldnt go back to them.
Love the ppl I've met, theyre all really great, and so many people are becoming regulars, It's not just a tiny handful its many people who are regulars now.
No matter where you go in the site its great to see names you recognise.

i have been on AMM, RHP and PERSON i think person would of had to have been the worst one i was on people were so rude. then one day i did a google search and found swingers heaven i have found this the best site so far i have met some really nice people from here and i recommend this site to everyone.

I (Greedy) have been a long standing member on Adultmatchmaker (AMM) for many years and have loved it. I've met some fantastic people, had lots of fun nights at their events and made some of the best friends of my life. Mr Good and I have had a couple's profile on there for over 12 months and have had fun with that also.
This Site
SH was recommended to us one night in AMM chat. We joined, and have met some fantastic people and everyone is very friendly.
Our only criticism is the lack of information on people's profiles and the locations are incorrect (ours is Tullamarine but it says Footscray. Why?)
It would be most helpful if people selected a year as their birth year as many seem to have 2011 and also that they fill in some profile information and location. When doing a search age, location and sexual preferences is a critical factor for most of us.
Nationality is helpful too. At the risk of being labelled politically incorrect we like to know someone's nationality so we can rule out those we're not interested in.

Ok the lack of profile text is a good point and also the locations, with locations it used to be optional then we made it mandatory when people joined so I am guessing that is part of the problem. We might be able to do some kind of prompt for people when they log in to upfdate them.

For the ones that want to keep location private, surely they can simply make up a different location.
OK our SH wishlist:
- a travel linkup forum including international visitors if possible.
- an iPhone/iPad friendly HTML5 website.
- mac friendly webcam video. It does work with a hack, which is fine for geeks, but not your average joe.
- the facility to let certain users know that you are blocking them.
- a means of identifying commercial swingers venues in the swinging clubs section. Plus a brief rundown on their fee structure, and male to female ratios. Ditto for the social swinging clubs like our's (Newcastle Swingers Club) as well.
- a revamp of the profile section to include mandatory information and the profile options to be on by default, with the means to switch off by the user as required. It is the other way round at present and tricky to navigate.
- a search function as per AMM's, "who is looking for me". Has found us fun where we never expected it, LOL.
- an indication in a profile to denote the status of administrator, moderator etc. So as to engender suitable grovelling, sucking up, LOL.
About it for now, but we will keep our thinking caps on.

I think mandatory location is fine. We like to keep ours reasonably private, so we just selected Melbourne. It's generic enough that privacy is fine, and accurate enough to not mislead people. Maybe it would help those in the country if they had some generic regions to select. (eg NE Vic, Central NSW or whatever).
Agree with a couple of others - would like to see more people fill out their ages and nationality (or put up a pic). Lots of newcomers seem to avoid age for some reason.

When we were new at this site we didnt know how much or what people would see and make of the details , having said that if you give as much as you want to get you are expressing your openness to the values and sharing nature of swinging.
No matter who you are you have some boundaries and some requirements and the profile should reflect that, so everyone can can make informed decision as to invest time and effort on someone the other side of the country.
WE have only used this site until recently and met the above Greedy and 4 other couples on AMM and they came here.
We visited the other sites after periods of being bombed by single guys and people who disrespected our requirements, we also have 4 good friends we see and are in contact with who left this site due to
1, mods taking action against the victims not the perps, (some people have just had enough of being nice to losers)
2 continued harassment from these perps who then felt empowered by the Mods support ,
we believe we do need Mods . But coming from legal industry we believe in the principals of justice, and if a site rule is broken because of inappropriate behavior by an aggressor or rude person the mods who dont have the time to fully investigate the matter nor the balance of argument to decide who is at fault just boot the respondent.
In the main this isnt critical but has resulted in some people we know leaving.
3 that people can not express views in a non confrontational adult manner in open chat environment without a moderator interference or direction as to the merit of the chat, when no rules are being broken , this undermines integrity and openness. Again we accept that some topics should be banned IE child porn and the like.
We also agree the Mods have a view and should be able to express that too however there view should not dictate the open chat and if others disagree should not imply or carry any negative implication towards the chat or that member.
The good things about this site are that people have the chat and forum opportunities.
The fact that there are rules and Mods with all the human shortcomings and highlights.
Time to create and foster relationships with anonymity until they feel appropriate to disclose what every they want.
I am not sure the simple reality that many people are here and only chose to chat undermines the site in any fashion, those you want to meet will, its hard to find whos who but fuck surely people don't expect big brother to arrange their sex lives for them '.
We are happy this is the best site for adult chat and the other activities that can follow.
Truely the only criticism we have is the gross inflow of single guys who think this is easy sex any time their needs dictate at any age or time they require and the bitching when they dont get it, it does ruin the experience for many members here who may not have enjoyed the successes available yet.

The mods.. normally stick to the normal rooms, but they do have to check rooms, if need be.
I would suggest making your own rooms. As long as they follow the site guidelines for made rooms, and reports arnt put in about them, you would have no trouble. But please remeber you have strayed from the topic.

So you could make a private (invite only) group for couples and have your own unmoderated forum that way.
