Sydney Meet and Greet. Sat 10 March The Retro

Hi All
After much thought I'm going to organize the next Sydney Meet.
I'm going to make this one in the city and after some drinks at an open pub (not Ryan's Bar) we can hit the retro for some dirty dancing
As the Sydney Mardi Gra will be on from mid Feb and culminating with the parade on the 3rd of March the best date for the meet will be the Sat 10 th March.
Meet from 8pm at the retro. I will also post details of a meeting place before that time at a nearby bar for those who want to catch up before hitting the retro.
Look for the orange bandana ;) between 8-9pm we will be downstairs near the front bar .. after 9pm 2nd floor near the pool tables 80's floor

If there is latin dancing, my missus will be there in a flash ... like a flash .. having a flash!! We might finally get to meet baabaa sage, and others - count us in.

Holiday is great so far only wish the sun would turn up. Nice to be able to relax and have fun;)
Looking at a few dates:
Sat 25 Feb
Sat 3 Mar
Otherwise can move further into Mid March.
Want to get this bigger and better so looking forward to it smile

hi all, would love to get along to a meet and greet. early march would be easier for me than Feb. great if it's in the city, much easier to get along to not that i'd mind going west though - just make it abit tougher to get there. look forward to finding out hte date and location, really hope i can make it. thanks Baabaa

I'm looking at the option of booking some space at the retro but need to know numbers ... Upside is .... Costs $300 to book but this includes $250 on the bar plus free entry for all guests .. normal entry is $20 after 9pm (free before) Also means we would get our own space Downside is ... If I pay $300 and noone turns up I'll be incredibly drunk .... hmm ... no downside smile

Would also like to know if anyone is interested in helping out ...

look at all the pikers. 'yeah we will go depending on the date, no not feb maybe march' changes to march oh cant make it thanks have to do a shit that night, feed the neighbours cat .... la la la. this is why the genuine people/couples get frustrated i guess

Its all ok. At the end of the day I'm organizing it and if people can make it they can and if not I can understand.
It is hard to cater for everyone. I take some feedback and then make the call on the date and place.
It may be a success or not but I know I'll have fun regardless.

Last one we went to that Baabaa organised turned out to be a great night. we are still deciding if we will go as for us the city is a place we get to rarely. (think 2 + hours travel in non peak times)
