Why does the Melbourne room have these ignorant ask before whisper suggestions? It's not rude to pm some one. What is rude is to make someone come to you, in the public chat and ask to whisper, only to be rejected in from of the whole room. I don't care what it says, no one ever has to debase himself publicly to whisper us privately. We'll respond, or we won't. But don't be afraid to whisper, guys.

From the sites point of view, the whispers, as in in the room name, or site wide for that matter. Isnt an enforceable rule. Meaning, room hosts and mods, cant kick or ban anyone, if they dont ask before hand.
But you will find some folk, request you ask before hand as they consider it polite and respectful. Others dont mind, they either answer dont answer, or just have whispers off. lol
My self, as a member, and this is my preference, if they cant ask or talk to me in main chat, and only want whispers. Im not a secret, to be hidden. Then they arnt my cup of tea.
I'm with luvcurves and don't care if someone whispers me, I can choose to ignore it, just like others do to me when in other rooms.

Generally I wont even chat in the Melbourne chat room and don't visit it that much. Most of the people in there have come in through the pool or similar so if I'm not in the Melbourne chat room and happen to whisper someone who is in the Melbourne room from the pool or beach then I can avoid the rejection in front of the whole room.
Those Melbournites that don't want to be whispered probably wont be in the pool and beach so I cant offend them.

it really pisses me off to have some moron who doesnt bother to read our profile come out with some limp comment or hi or wanna see me cum on cam , really if it came with some common sense it wouldnt be needed , but after a few dozen in a row who we have no interest in and have asked explicitly not to whisper of message you , would seem thats why it is necessary, one of the main reasons people stop caming the flood of whispers and the cams are the cash cow for the site these days its guys and the guy of couples mainly so the bombarding of camers may be at all time low but so is the standard
I sometimes don't have whispers turned on, so they can pm me as much as you like and I have no clue, only to have someone get all upset in the main room, calling me a bitch for not answering.
I have found mostly people who whisper either only say hi (which can be said in the main room) or start off with "Hi, you have great tits/ass/pussy/other body part, can I fuck them?" These are people I don't want to talk to.
If you want to whisper someone, talk to them first in the main room, then if it looks like you are getting along, try whispering
We find you can get whispers and if your in main chat room and you politly say we will chat but in the main room you never hear from them again , so not brushing them off as you do offer to chat with them in main chat but they never say boo , so what ever they have to say can not be too important anyway
Anyone I already know is free to pm me in the room, and they all know it - it is the ignorant asshat that is generally really rude that I don't want to hear from. There have been more than one that say 'hi' in pm, you answer, then they say nothing else at all. Why bother whispering?
Having said that, we agree that opening whispers are often a lame "Nice pics - would luv to fuck the Mrs!", and if people have to ask in public chat first they're unlikely to open with that sort of comment. In fact those people are unlikely to message you at all if they have to be public about it. So we can see the benefit there. Though quite likely those people would ignore the "ask in chat first" rule anyway.
