This could be the reason, The site as a planned upgrade happening, We believe some time tonight our time. It is expected to take two hours, could be shorter, could be longer, if you feel the need to give praise to Admin, we suggest the best place is this to do that, or here: http://www.swingersheaven.com.au/support-tickets Any questions, moderators will try and answer, but with the changes, we will be learning some new things along with you lovely folk. Please be patient, things could be all good, might be delays, but we, the site will do what we can to answer you, as to the best of our knowledge.

A 404 error occurred Page not found. We understand that with any change there are always going to be teething issues. We work in the industry and know it well. Since the change, which at this stage looks mainly cosmetic, there is an obvious degradation of performance. It has the feel for them switching hosting providers to a company that cannot handle the volume of traffic or is using a much slower link to the internet. Any ideas if the site administrators have a timeline on addressing the performance issues? Cheers, BusyBees

There have been a fair few changes, please bare with me, As im learning whats different and whats not. The whole site, well i mean this part of the site, got new look and colour, and a few added changes, with shrep gone and the new member verification. There is more, but i will need to run up a list. A lot of its been background stuff, to allow for im to be placed back on site, as well, as getting the new site block feature, in the wings. chat looks the same, but again, it is all the background stuff to get cam block ready to go. The background work, will allow admin and the techies, to add many more things to the site. I dont believe they have switched hosts/servers or anything like that. I will have to confirm, if our servers are still in the states, as our chat was based there and main site, is uk. They upped the cpu in chat last nite, our time, which was mid morning late afternoon their time. And it was running alot better, but my self as noticed, it was having a rough time again over the last few hours. When I get anything from admin, and have their permission, I will pass on information, to either this thread or the site thread

Now admin as been busy handling the support tickets as well, as working on the problems as they come in. When they get a chance, they have said they will drop a site message for folk, and let every one know whats happening.
We are very grateful for those understanding, that bugs can happen in upgrades, and are really sorry that it didnt go totally to the plan. We ask just for a bit of patience, I will answer what I can over the time I have been on site, this being the third chat set up since i became a member. Their time frame, was it was going to plan, They are working on it, as hard as they can. smile

We are getting them to cross their toes, cause if they cross their fingers it will slow the process down. I hope this helps in some way.

I like the new look, it's far more professional, but there's still teething problems. I cant get onto the chatroom at all. I just get an error message. Everything else seems to work fine though.

Have you updated your java lately, That used to be the old reason, for most, when they couldnt get in. Admins keeping an eye on this thread. If not give it ago, reboot, more times then not after that, and let us know how you go. :) I havent heard of any changes otherwise in that.

I cant get into the chat room at all today and done a Java update which made no difference, also noticed that it is saying I am off line down the bottom right corner.

yep cant get into chat aswell, says off line and gets stuck on connection. any idea when admin going too fix?

Looks like chat's up the creek. How can it go from being dog slow but working last night, to not working at all tonight? Get the feeling we're going backwards. Frustrating...

from what i can work out, it crashed about 6 EST tonight, now im not sure if its been techie done, or its the bug, Lets just cross fingers either way, it gets back up soon. This is the biggest problem, considering the time frame. So im just hanging in and keep trying, if i hear anything will let you all know.

I have heard this afternoons problem, was a server, that wasnt even in the upgrade, it got jealous, and went out with all the bugs. Im told that problem as now been taken care off. just as a heads up

One does have to ask if it ain't broke why fix it...pity it's so hard to access the chatrooms and the rest of the site is soooooo slow....will keep trying as always though x

Would you believe it was upgraded, because members requested, certain things? And the old site, they wernt able to do that on. So the back end of chat and the site, had to be redone for that reason. Plus everything else admin wanted for the site, that we will now get over time.
I know they are frustrated, with whats happened. And Im sure he will hear from them more, when everything as settled.

There is about 60 of us in chat at the moment. And its being nice to us. Not sure why you cant get in, but admin is watching this thread. But if you feel the need please support ticket admin, giving them as much info of the problem you can. And they will look into it.

you might need to log out of the site and then back in to get it to authenticate if you're having problems, if that failed please let us know via support.

I raised 2 support tickets last night about some of the issues we were having with chat i.e. cannot log in. Admin replied back later stating it was fixed, yet I still cannot log into chat blink

So I raised another one this morning, hopefully they will resolve the problem this time.

hey folks, it was fixed, was in last night, if its the same problem, as yesterday after noon. Its a chat server, that crashed, and not because of the upgrade. Its a totally different problem. Im fraid the techies will all be sleeping at this hour. So you maybe waiting a while, unless admin, have put something together. sad
