We have read info on red scalfs on entrance of van/tent and am going to try it (can't hurt) But we do like the switch symbol of 4 way arrows crossing over (see public photo). We are going to put it on rear of van! Only people that know the symbol will understand lol Its worth a try to be happy, have fun and enjoy the adventure ! If us holiday/travellers have some sort of ID what ever it is we should have more fun and take them down if not required! Happy times ,what does everybody think? We need positive ideas
What an interesting idea never herd of the red flags before but we have often discussed secret handshakes ect. so this is not a bad idea R/J
This is awesome! Could even have the flag while on the road. People who identify the symbol can wave and pull over for a chat. Hope this practice spreads across. Good luck!

We are getting made at art design shop (computer cut)
Can get in many forms "T" shirts, flags, stickers etc!
We are getting a few stickers.
We are buying safety sign slide in and out holder (at any saftey shop) like on back of fuel tankers and stick swingers
logo on plate so as to be able to slide in and out as required (as we do hehe!)
i live in the next street to a big 4 camping park can you get tags or something if staying in chalets ? be fun to walk around the site looking lol luv to see the designs when on back of vehicles etc so this non driver can keep a beedy eye out for swingers
yes, I know this is wicked and in poor taste but If there are coloured ribbons/flags etc available I have a few friends ( and non-friends) I would love to attach to their car and hear about their puzzled experiences. Friends of ours are still puzzled and mystified as to who and why a new, unopened explicit gay porn DVD was dropped in their letter box with a short cheery note. we are a bit puzzled as well because they have never said what they did with it...

If interested google switch
Its the origin of the symbol
red flags on the back of moving vehicles may get you in trouble with the police though, as it's a safety thing regarding long loads. May have to stick with stickers/logos smile
just a thought---how about putting a "swing" on the side or back ?

yes - good idea - a swing to go next to the cartoon stickers you see in the rear window of cars - mum, dad, the kids and the dog - now add an empty swing (or double swing) to mystify the unknowing and attract the knowing - although, it might cause an accident when the horny, single guy is trying to attract your attention. you would then need an accompanying "no single men" sticker for them to ignore.... lol

The sticker is a good idea. Nudists have the "Wandering Bare" stickers with the picture of a koala hobo on it. Only nudists know what it means. Swingers could have the camellion on a swing on their sticker LOL
apparently there are many urban myths about what is the "secret symbol" for swingers - here are some of them... Pineapple placed upside down in a shopping cart A pineapple door knocker A woman wears an anklet on her right leg A woman wears an anklet on her left leg White landscaping rocks in someone's front yard Wearing a thumb ring Wearing a toe ring A man or woman wearing a red base-ball cap Switching the wedding ring to the right hand Yin-Yang tattoo Pampas grass in the front yard garden Pink or purple decorations in the front yard A fire pit in the yard A hot tub in the yard but of course - don't assume any of that is true because your neighbour may just like pampas grass...
now I'm completely creeped out. We had a massive pampas grass collection in the front yard when I was a little kid. With a white rockery *shudder*

hehehe - the children are always the last to know...
I met an older couple once in Port Macquarie after they contacted me through an an online ad, they were traveling the country in a caravan and they were telling me that there's an upside down blue triangle on the back of a van is common sign with the grey nomads for slightly more than borrowing a cup of sugar.

Haha, a blue triangle on a vehicle is usually a marker for where the battery is located. It's a protocol that stems from racing, so that emergency crews can quickly locate and disconnect the battery in an accident.
We'll never have a sign on our vehicle. Couples often have enough trouble in dogging locations and sex clubs with unwanted excess male attention. Can you imagine just driving into a supermarket car park and having random guys suddenly cracking on to you with the blatant expectation that you're a nympho who will get down and suck their cock on the spot?
A very good point T2 - any symbols or signs indicating that you engage in fun adult activities will always attract those who you don't want to attract especially when its at the wrong place at the wrong time - We have heard a few stories of people, mostly women been approached by guys who recognised them as been on SH - all of which ended badly... guys - your fantasy will not happen in the real world so don't even try it... Luvvy and I have been in the supermarket and on 2 occasions been stared at by a different couple, we had no idea who they were but it was it was quiet clear they were looking at us. We speculated they may have seen us on cam or maybe saw enough of our faces in pics. but.... of course - we had no Secret Masonic Handshake or nose scratch with 3 fingers to indicate a match of interest so we just ignored them and maybe avoided an awkward scene - pity though, they were rather attractive.

Very interesting topic. We brought a caravan about eight months ago and have done a few trips and stayed at a few places and it is always on your mind as you look around at your fellow caravanning neighbours, could they be. Stickers and flags etc on the back of the caravan is a great idea but the chance of seeing one would be pretty slim I would the back of our tool box we are going to have a discrete removable symbol and see how it goes. Should add that we have started up a group for NSW Caravanning Swingers For people that might be close to you or you might want to catch up as your passing through. Should be interesting to see how this group goes.

hi tunsoffun42 , we enjoy caravanning and camping ,we are also in the central coast area ,how do we find / join your group ? thanks "us"

Looks like you found us, only_us, and the group is growing growing and growing

I manage a caravan park in SA and would love to have a group stay for a weekend, maybe participatesmile. I'll be on lookout for them stickers! Need more happy campers

red rag is not good idea unless u want man in uniform ( highway patrol ) or been shopping at bunnings its tied on back to indicate

extended loads.

 I found this Bumper Sticker  I < 3 > 1 means I love more than 1 :-)

We'll be camping the South coast alot over the next few years. We'll make sure the flag is out.. and single straight guys are welcome to visit.  you can look after the mrs while I watch the camp fire.. ?

Always meet interesting people when travelling and things tend to happen when on holidays but how to be discreet and still attract attention that's the thing. A sticker may not be such a good idea, when you sell the vehicle new owners might not know what it means hehe. When comfortably parked up at the caravan park a strategically placed pair of red knickers would get most people's attention. Say hello and you will soon know.

Alternatively people may think that you are a Trump supporter down under...

Stickers on the back.

At most parks you back in so this could create a subculture of lurking at the back of vans looking for stickers. The str8 people will get worried
