Yep, I was on my way home a fortnight or so ago and noticed the gates being locked about 9:00 or 10:00pm. Yet another reason I can't stand my local council sad

the gates where open lastnight i whent past at thay wher open
they were open on fri night till midnight but today they were ripping up the turf...one would have to think why have they put gates up if they have no intentions of locking them..itll be only a matter of time..the gates will prob get locked at 9 pm each night...and i do realise you can just park and walk to the landing
right i spoke to a worker there the other day he said they are redoing the grassed area and poles and during winter will be locked at 9
ok the council have put up signs today...carpark gates locked between 8 and 9 pm...bummer hope it doesnt kill our spot

???
I might be missing something, but what does it matter if the lights come on and there are still cars in the car park?
Will the lights fade the paintwork?? confused
sorry ditto first para was about pooch park second para was back on the tennyson thread my bad smile

Also a speed trap almost out the front so thought better of going in. Some dog parks are installing lights so dog owners can exercise their dogs at night in winter. Its something dog owners have asked for from Salisbury Council for the Paddocks dog park.

Cheers mate, at least I've not gone completely crazy ;)
It all makes sense now :)
south aussie, what the council will do ..as they do everywhere is get the security companys that will monitor it to be there bout 830 advise people in cars to move out.. the ones that arnt in cars...dont know...maybe theyll lock em in and make you pay a fee to unlock ,if its well after...watch this space i guess. but i heard they are going to build a info centre of some sort just at the bit of land between the 3rd carpark and the vacant bit there....then redo all sections...DONT WORRY WE CANNOT BE BEAT........ha ha ha
Gates were open last night but cops came in and hassled everyone, doing random breath test and shining torches into cars and questioning everyone....Tenny is losing its appeal!!!
there are so many better car parks along the beach.. the trick is to keep "activities" to a secret. The whole reason the council is onto Tennyson is due to the fact that, like Maslins, its one of the best known beats in Adelaide. Next time how about using a code word or something for any good locations so that only those "in the know" and vouched for can roll up..
i dont think the cops get on here and read the forum...as you said its been a beat for ages so the cops already know about it...youll find a lot of the neughbours go down there to go dogging anyway. its more the council flexing its wittle muscles...lol
so there are no cops who swing or enjoy dogging? hmmm
Who'd want to be a cop ! smile Anyway... shame about Tennyson .. we just need to quietly organise another suitably dark park at night in the Western Suburbs... We'll do some "road tests" and report back !
gates closed agian tonight about might have to get some daytime activity in for those who can be there. There is the park up the road behind the laundry Does anyone go there much close to the beach as well any comment
that park behind laundry is no good during summer...heaps of familys go there...but i guess after 10 pm it used to be ok

how about the location we spoke about b4 by the river

If you're speaking of the one I'm thinking of, where I've had a fun meeting before, that may be an idea. We need to find more places in an easterly direction I reckon, it's not well represented and not heavily 'visited' by people in uniforms.
And it looks like keeping exact locations out of the public forum is an even better idea than we might think. At a Neighbourhood Watch meeting recently (yes, I'm an upstanding member of my local community wink ) it was mentioned that with summer coming the police would be paying more attention to 'cruising' sites. It was also mentioned that my local area is not known for a great deal of such activity.
I just kept my mouth shut.
lots of cops are swingers and quite a few go to dogging meets to! not to police but to have fun cops are human too with urges!

And they're also professionals with jobs to do. However reluctantly and gently some of them may shuffle doggers along it's still something they've got to do. So by moving dogging hotspots around the place, and being more discreet about how we disclose meets, we're doing all of us a service. We have fun and they get to concentrate on more serious issues without some uptight prude who can't get a blowjob complaining about those who can. Everybody wins!
