Gmn's Return to Melbourne Catch Up / Sth East Meet & Greet

Hi everyone, as some of you are aware, Gmn spends more time in WA with his new job than at home close to his friends.
He has expressed to Mrs K and myself how much he is missing the friends he's made on this site and has asked me to organise a catch up by means of a meet & greet. I have asked CheekyJen to help put the word out also.
He's only back in Melbourne for a short time which doesn't really allow him to catch up with everyone individually, so this would be a great way for him to see as many friends and new people as he can in one hit.
We do realise that we recently had a meet & greet at the same location but hopefully lots of people can find the time to come along and say G'day.
There were a lot of new people at the last meet & greet and by now you guys know how much fun our meets can be so please come along and lets all do it again lol

Rooms are available at the Sandown Park Hotel .. Which is across the road from The Highways Tabaret for those who want to let their hair down and have a few drinks without worrying about driving home.
For those who could be travelling by public transport from the city get a train to Dandenong Station and get the bus No:800 get off outside the Sandown Park Hotel on Princes Hwy and cross Corrigan rd .
For those who are driving there is plenty of parking available .

It's all very well to have a sign up with rules etc but people can't get past pictures on here to read a profile, they don't read chat rules so what makes you think they will take the time to read rules upon entry ? I think that would be the last thing they'd be thinking about.

Unfortunately some venues have the belief that rules are meant to be broken.
We had it out with one in particular some years back and it's also part of the reason we started having our own parties when we did.
You can't charge big bucks and not expect bad attitudes from those wanting bang for their buck ( no pun intended )
Some venues see highly charged single males as the bread and butter and will turn a blind eye to some types of unacceptable behavior.
Are phones not checked in on arrival??? I've not come across that but if that happened, the venue needs it's ass kicked big time!!!

Please Note!!
No pets are permitted in the park and as we found out last time, they aren't even allowed to be in the car.
The rangers will ask anyone with pets to leave the park.
Trouser snakes and pussies found to be frolicking will be neuted by CheekyJen :scared:

Hi all,
CheekyJen62 is organising a family BBQ, come meet & greet
at Lysterfeild Lake on Sunday 8th January 2012.
CheekyJen and ourselves checked out this site recently. It was a pleasant day and we think it is a suitable place to hold a meet.
All are welcome to come along and catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones also.
Please note: this is a 'family' BBQ and kids are allowed and therefore we all need to keep the content of conversation and behaviour in check. :angel:
BYO food & drinks so pack up the esky, chairs and picinic blankets to make it a fun relaxing day.
There are a number of free electric BBQ's on site.
Facilities & Activities:
Free Electric BBQ's
There are some picnic tables & benches
Toilet Facilities
Mountain bike tracks
Walking tracks
Swimming (no glass allowed on beach sand)
Times and directions:
Melways Ref 108 D3
The park is open from 8am to 8pm during daylight saving time.
Jen will be there anytime from 10am onwards however, it does get busy and parking can sometimes be a problem.
Enter from Belgrave – Hallam rd into Horswood rd
Once you get in the gates and reach the roundabout turn left and head to the end car park which is the 'beach car park'

We think it's a good thing but the only down fall we have found is that some people have given us Shrep before they have actually met us or very very little contact. Then we feel bad because we wont do the same in return until we either meet them or have lots of contact first. "Another year down but hopefully not another down year" biggrin
