Sunday the 4th of October 2015 ( Monday is a public holiday ) If your from the north or want a full day ride , we will be riding from Gympie 8.30am ,Kenilworth , Conondale , Wooodford , no highway making a good ride ..... or Meet at a Woodford Bakery for a morning snack at 10am , then ride Mount Mee , to the Samford Pub for lunch . Contact us for more info have fun and stay upright ,,, well when riding a bike . Peter and Kim ( this is a social ride , please read Group riding Guide lines prior to ride , riders ride at there own risk , this is a social group group , all riders ride at the own capabilities and speed , this is not a race , the group stops at meeting points for the group to rejoin , there is no need to try and keep up with all riders , enjoy the social ride this is a fun days outing ) *********************************************** *** _________________________________________________________________________________ *************Group riding Guide lines , just so every ones on the same page ,***************** __________________________________________________________________________________ - 1 / need a bike ! - 2 / Any type or make of Motor Bike ( that can do the speed limit ).... - 3 / age restriction ( 18+ ).... - 4 / all rides are a meet and greet .... - 5 / Your bike must be registered and roadworthy..... - 6 / Everybody is responsible for their own safety on the ride..... - 7 / Be fuelled up and ready to go at the advertised start time..... - 8 / The ride will be on public roads, therefore the road rules apply. You break them at your own risk.... - 9 / You will not see any grandstands beside the road and there are no trophies at the end of the day. There are no flag marshals indicating what is around bends, nor is there an ambulance handy. The ride is NOT a race. Irresponsible riders will be asked to leave the ride..... - 10 / Remember you are riding in a group, so be conscious of other rider's differing abilities and need for space. Do not ride close behind another rider, if you want to go faster than them, wait for a safe overtaking opportunity and then overtake..... - 11 / You must be licensed to ride the bike you are riding..... - 12 / Carry suitable apparel for bad/cold weather and low light..... - 13 / Every ride will have a lead rider. If you want to overtake the lead rider then please take off and don't stop until the next stop..... - 14 / Do not turn (and leave) an intersection until the rider behind you has indicated to turn, unless there is a corner marshal at the corner. Failure to follow this rule results in people getting lost..... - 15 / Listen careful to the route description before the ride so that you understand and can name where the group is going. If you don't know where you are going, buddy up with somebody that does know and who preferably rides at a similar speed..... - 16 / If you wish to leave the ride at any time just TELL SOMEBODY, preferably the leader or one of the leader's assistants you are going.
