Went up to Samurai on Sat morning and it was lovely. Looking forward to spending more time up there now that its warming up.

The first rule of Samurai Beach is: you do not talk about Samurai Beach.
So I'll break that rule. Samurai is a beach frequented by fishers, surfers, campers, and nudists alike. So any "goings on" are discrete. The camping area at the North end is a good size. The big dunes at the South end is where any action takes place. There's a walking track from the back of the dunes through the bush joining up to the access road, folk walk this track to stay in the shade rather than traipsing the half mile or so of open sand which the 4WD's use. There are no facilities at all on the beach. The toilets are way back at Anna Bay
Action, you might see couples. I've seen one m-f couple several times getting down in the dunes but basically in the open (not hiding except from the main beach), but not last year (shame, she was cute!). You may see blokes cruising, but I haven't seen gay sex there - just one m-m pair emerging from behind bushes WAY up the back, their previous actions ensuring that it was obvious what they'd been doing. Action is limited when there are families with children near the South dunes. Children occasionally like to explore...
Don't go there expecting to see action, if it happens then be glad. Don't drive on the dunes or park on the grass, the Rangers do patrol and they get upset. The beach is not patrolled so don't drown. And if you're driving check the tides. At high tide the beach can get pretty narrow if previous weather has eaten the sand.
Action or not, it's an awesome little beach.

Thinking about heading either there or birdie beach today but not really sure its warm enough to get nude, might have to leave it for summer summer haha
Well at the time I'm typing, Anna Bay is 23.5 deg with a light breeze and Norah Head is 22 deg and almost calm air. For me, 24 deg is about the coolest that I'll get nude if it's calm. The expected tops have dropped since yesterday (boo! Hiss!) but with daylight savings there's an extra hour to enjoy. I'll be visiting one or the other.
