Does anyone know of a nightclub/pub that is a good place to meet people. I like the idea of a club like the Lotus Lounge where you can go to party on without the direct implication that you are willing to F%$# anyone who happens to ask. I would like to be able to go, have a good time and have no-one expecting more than a dance and a chat. Not to say I am not interested in more, I just want it to be 100% my decision with no expectations. Am I asking too much. lol Be Good Lyn.
It was a while ago, just after the reno's from being a pub bar (I think). We liked the place but a bit quiet, the vibe just wasn't there. Been busy and away for a while and went looking on Google, found out it was gone. I like to play occassionaly, but more often than not just want to have a fun time and end up going home with Pat. It is something special if I play. lol There is nothing I can find anything like this, even tried PJ Gallaghers on Saturday night, music was terrible (BoomBoomBoom) and everyone was so smashed. Between the drink and the noise there was no way a decent "chat" could get underway. We left before midnight (very unlike us). Oh well maybe its too much to ask these days of political correctness. Be Good Everyone. Lyn
We have been too and organised meet and greets before at pubs/hotels. The last one was organised b Smegs in a nice beer garden. Everyone were chatting and not sure where everyone ended up but we had a ball. This might be something that you consider. Or maybe organise a meet and greet yourself. We are meeting a few people (our friends) from this site at a beer gardn this Sunday for lunch and drinks
Thanks for the reply, We are not available Sunday as heading to Syd Uni for the Rock n Roll markets at the manning building, then heading north for a family late lunch. I have been to one of the meet and greets in the CBD at a hotel, but couldn't find anyone who was obviously from the site and as the place got busier we headed off to the Orient. As for organising something myself, well not sure I am that confident as a relative beginner at this. lol. Be Good Lyn.
