Motorbike Riders - SAVE THIS DATE !!!!! (and support crew as we have been told to include lol ) Saturday 4th October - Sunday 5th October OK...its been thrown around alot in chat and its become quite obvious that a lot of us folk love to ride bikes and want someone to organise a weekend ride . One idea that was thrown in was riding to Sorrento......catch the ferry to Queenscliffe...........ride the Great Ocean road to Pt Campbell, stay the night, then finish ride on the sunday. At this point in time just looking for numbers to see how many would be interested, as we need to take this into account for accommodation etc. So please if your interested if you can RSVP as soon as possible smile the dates though ....is a definite.....just the route taken may vary dependant on the amount of people that wish to attend !! If you could let ourselves or Gmn1957 know of your interested that would be great Cheers Tigerpussy & Gmn1957 OK guys and girls we are going to meet up at the frankston jetty at and leave from there Hey Guys & Gals start point on the ride is Frankston, jetty am sat then down to Sorrento and jump on the ferry. That way we can all catch up and chat, get to know each other a little whilst on the boat. They say it's about a 45 min boat trip. Get of at Queensclif and ride to Angelsea where we will stop and have some lunch,then finish the day by riding to Warrnambool where we would stay the night at The Olde Maritime Motor Inn. Ok.......now that works out to be only @375 kms of riding for the day but it will probably take us about 8 hours to get to Warrnambool as we will need to have a few breaks as well as stop for lunch .
We are both in, bring it on
sounds like a plan...love ya work...
:thrilled::thrilled::thrilled::thrilled: Yeahhh!!!! this is shaping up to be an AWESOME weekend smile
you sure can :welcome::welcome::thumbup:
Sounds like you have come across a great idea. We wont be able to join you guys this time but wanted to support your idea all the same.

Is that the long w/e?
From SA, frankston is a long way around to get to Woonambool.
I had been thinking of a ride over the oct long w/e (must check the dates)
Just wondering if there is a way to involve other states? Maybe separate ride with a common destination?
or maybe ohh I dunno just thinking out loud...pls excuse my brain fart :-)

Hi all, rang The Olde Maratime Motel we are booked in $155 including a cooked breky. See you at wherever we start.
51 yo separated single male, looking for w/e away on bike. Looks like I should be able to get the Long w/e (in SA) off. So I'm thinking of riding down fri night or early sat am & ride back monday arvo. Does that fit with anyones travel plans? I Just checked & single or spa rooms are avail, but thought a 2 bd room might be better. So anyone interested in splitting cost of accomodation ie maybe the 2bd place? Works out ~ $100 / night / person or couple . May suit another single person or maybe a couple. No expectations or commitments to anything other knowing I / you have somewhere to stay.

Hi all just checked the ferry timetable ( they sail at 10am 12pm so I guess the 12 would be what we would be catching, they also state limited space so I would think that we would need to be there by , as we are acting as support and will have a trailer we will probably meet you guys there t ensure we can get on.
Let me know what you think
