Visa problems - we can't be the only one

So we have recently upgraded, as most of us do, and had some problems making the payment. Does anyone else have problems when they attempt to pay for their upgrade using a visa card? Visa seems to be blocking the payments because SH is run by a UK company and possibly because it's paying for "sexual services", I don't know - I'm speculating. We can't be the only one, can we?
I have no answers for this one. But will pass this thread on to Admin, and see if they have an answer for you.

Try buying a prepaid visa card from Coles etc, I used a velocity visa travel wallet which I usually load up with BPAY. I use this for any online payments as it allows me up to 10 virtual cards if they are compromised it no problem as it will only use what funds is on it.

every year we have had problems like this when paying for the usually takes about a week to straighten did not bother renewing it last year as it was such a hassle the last cpl of times. have not tried paypal so maybe that would work better
I've found it sometimes asks for some additional security pin you need to apply for. At this point I hit back, start the process again and second time round I get an option to cancel and skip that step. May be the same issue.
We rectified the issue by calling up and asking for a paypal invoice, which worked a treat. ps78 - In future we might try using a prepaid visa, the idea never occurred to us before, we had just been using visa debit. Thank you, we (Mrs mostly) love showing off and it's great to hear nice feedback. ChasingFun - didn't think to do that either, Verified by Visa asked for a password, which I gave correctly but it still didn't go through. At least now we know we can just call and ask for a paypal invoice rather than screwing around ringing the bank and all that nonsense, I will say that when I spoke to the guy on the phone he was very nice about it (plus his British accent was really cute) and the call only cost $ so that's good
Unfortunately some of the banks place weird requirements on transactions with other Countries, although I must say that the vast majority are just fine, if anyone else has the same problem they could always put in a support ticket and we will endeavour to sort something out smile
the poms don't like us because, a) we beat them at cricket b) admin jealous they didn't get a knighthood from tony lol just a thought
Hi Depending on the bank, (I can only confirm commonwealth) the bank allows you to block international transfers and or place a limit on any amount and I have been caught out. That might be the problem but paypal allows you to get around it. Bill
