looking to head to port macquarie the weekend after aus day. anybody know of nice but not too expensive accomodation in port macquarie. need a spa, close to the water. saw one near the river just want some feed back on others

There's plenty of "nice", and obviously plenty near the water, but depends on your budget...
Beachcomber? Near town beach, most upstairs units have ocean views, some have spas, studios / 1 br / 2 br, awesome pool... Might be a bit $$$ though if they still consider that weekend to be peak season.
Any that u have in mind?

were not sure where but we looked into the quays but a bit dear at 200 a night. we have one at 120 but no spa. i was thinking under 140 per night

we booked the beachcomber. looks a nice place, free wi fi secure parking. hope it lives upto its hype on the website. sit naked on the balcony, sip wine watch the sun set and the ocean then have a spa to relax. first holiday in 10 years, first without kids
