My wife likes to play but is not into planning it ,so does anyone know of a good bar in melb that there would be a good chance of her being hit on if we both went,preferably with some dancing

Melbourne used to abound in pickup spots / dance venues. It was practically every frid + sat night in a lot of suburban pubs. Sadly now they've all been turned into pokie machine venues. A couple of possibles for Cougars are the Croxton Park Hotel Thornbury or Bridie O'Rielly's in Brunswick. Most likely a few others but these are the only two I can think of within 20kms of the CBD.

I've been told that Daisey's Hotel is a pickup place by many people although I've never been--Don't like pubs that much. Thanks for the pleasant company Saturday night . It was a good turn out. Hans

One of our favoutite games is to go to a pub, not a pickup place, and try to pick up a new couple. We have had lots of miserable failures and a few nights we will never forget....

We have the same issue in Sydney, Lots of Pokies not so many live bands/old fashioned pick up bars. Only one we know is too close to home, lol Good luck with your search. Pat

We've thought about going there and seeing who hits on the Mrs for some fun, but they won't do it while Mr is hanging around, and loitering separately in a pub waiting for something to happen can be a bit dull.
Any other couples interested in joining us for the experience? The ladies can have a girls night, enjoying the attention of the prowling guys, while the gents sit off to the side enjoying a drink and the show - or perhaps seeing if they can pull a single lady.

we've been to Daisys in the past (over 28's) with friends .... Its not a bad place but we've never been with the thought of picking up. Might be something to think about especially with friends from here.
