Get the profile verified if you think they are a) a false profile or b) not a couple
This is a more effective way to make sure that the site runs well. We can make sure profiles accurately represent the people behind them................... but only if we know there is a problem

Speaking as someone who does not reply to a lot of messages, make sure you read their profile first and see if you fit their criterai. If a person messages me and doesn't fit, then I don't bother replying. I also rarely reply to say no, as I have had abuse in return. So sometimes there IS a reson that soneone does not get replies.

Could not agree more with this post we are fairly new to this lifestyle and find it difficult to meet or chat to any couples that match our age bracket and desires. We find people out of state, older couples and single men always happy to chat, but couples from our area and age group simply do not message back or will not share face photo's (there are some exceptions). Every one wants to be friends but no one actually wants to meet or share any information to become acquainted. We may be a little picky at times but until recently we had only ever been with each other. We would like to make a point of thanking the single men we have met and chatted to we have found most of them to be respectful and polite even when we have replied a polite no. Considering other options to meet couples we find desirable and just leaving this site to meet singles.

Couldn't agree more haidee,we get the same thing ,If people read profiles first it might just save them the time of sending a message when it is quite clear that they are not what your looking for,they may think it's rude not to get a reply and i think it's rude to just look at pics and think oh yeah i'd love a bit of that ,and fire off a message. And then yes you do have the fake couples ones and when contacted the guy that has most likely put a profile in without his wife knowing shits himself cos he cant act on it .

weve had a real couple that weve met for drinks and wanted to play with but with work and life we just havnt, now we found out they have sent emails saying we dont play. all i can say is F@#$ OFF IDIOT you deffinately wont get a chance now. we also arnt going to a meet because theyre going. well thats if they turn up

another reason you may not get replies is that the members you are messaging are not paid members. this is just a theory , but i know paid members cannot message unless they send a gift, and if you send your email or ph number to them admin usially censor it with the good old 'removed by admin'

But i know on other sites even if your not a paid up member ,if a paid member sends you a message you can at least reply,not sure about here but from what your saying thats not the case here ,which i think is very wrong,if we send a message to an unpaid member they should be able to reply at least.

Unless Admin have changed it, If your a member, before all the changes. Yes you can send emails to everyone, and yes they can reply. Its only since about march of this year, they they have brought back, then the newbies unpaid, cant send emails first.
Which means, Its up to all the so called *cough* paid folk... To send messages first. And if a newbie gets one, they can reply.

nope doesnt work. I sent a pm from my paid "extras" account to a friends unpaid accout that has been established for a few months now. when you click reply you are redirected to the upgrade page
Sorry Rose, but I thought you would know better. Free members have no way of corresponding with paid members.
They cannot initiate messages.
They cannot reply to messages.
They cannot post quick comments.
They cannot comment on photos.
They cannot post to forums.
They cannot reply to forum posts.
So, if a paid member is interested in an unpaid member, they are wasting their time trying to communicate with them, as the unpaid member has absolutely no way of responding.
Even if the paid member includes their phone number or email address, it is stripped out of the message "for the unpaid member's protection"!!! Wtf.
So basically, the only reason for having unpaid members able to access the site is for a perve, as admin have now removed the ability to set up any form of two way communication. The only way to communicate and set up a meet is to bend the rules and try to hide your email or phone number in the initial message to the unpaid member and hope that they can decipher your code and be willing to communicate outside of this site.
I personally think this is doing the paid members a great mis-service and devalues the subscription that we pay.
Anyway, that's my rant over.

We have sent messages to unpaid members and either get no reply or get a "gift" with a message telling us they can't reply via messages. What makes it even worse is that we can't see anything obvious in a person's profile that tells us if they're an unpaid member or not (if there is something, can someone please point it out to us).
This issue was raised months ago. We assumed Admin fixed it at the time, but clearly they haven't and so they need a good kick in the pants.

As a paid member I think it's extremely unfair that an unpaid member can't reply to a paid member's message. I'm happy to initiate a message if we are interested and have the unpaid member respond. I think it's doing us paid members a gross injustice and restricting part of our membership.
Why bother having unpaid members? You might as well just force everyone to pay! No other site has this restriction on it's unpaid members.
Admin - please fix this ASAP.

i think you can still send wanks if you are unpaid. (even though thay are tacky)
one other site lets you wink, "i am a trial member, could you please send me a message" if the message is sent then the unpaid member could reply (once per message) for free

well as a "paid" member it does suck that "none paid" members cant reply if we have messaged them first as this would be a waste of money PAID by us.... I totally understand "NONE paid" members not being able to message others first but not being able to reply to "paid members" is a bit of a jilt... can Admin please address this quickly as NOW we are wondering how many people have been interested in our profile but unable to reply to our invitations to chat?:sad::confused::doh:

yes if you pay money you should get access everywhere and even be able to message unpaid members/ there should also be a sign of some type that somebody is unpaid. makes it a vetter place

If people are dissatisfied with free members being unable to reply to messages and how it devalues being a paid member then might I suggest you also voice your complaint by submitting a ticket about it here:

The support team will review and respond to your tickets in this area, and you will also be notified of any updates by email. In the case of my previous tickets they have been responded to by sarahadmin, which given the lack of admin responses in the forums seems to make tickets a more reliable way of raising such issues.

Wow you must be special because out of all the tickets I've raised I've received TWO responses from Admin on them. As for updates, I've never received any.
The point is the free message response used to work (just like notifications used to work) and now it doesn't. This has been going on for over 2 months and it still hasn't been fixed.
I love the community here but the engine room sucks!

We've recently joined up to SH and can confirm that while we were non paying members, we could not respond to messages, participate in forum posts or get into the chat in any way.
We couldn't send friend requests or anything, so the comment about it being purely a "perve" was right on the money.
Whilst we did choose SH over the competing sites, the only reason for this was because we took the time to read through alot of the forum posts. This showed us that the members here were much more our sort of crowd....
It's a shame because the people on here really make the place, and we have certainly benefited in only a week from members who are more then happy to share their experiences and stories, along with some really handy advice about the upcoming Saints and Sinners.
When we were looking around and considering other options, Red Hot Pie ( wonder if admin will strike that out!) are putting alot of effort into competing....they have 3 or 4 sites that pull 'swingers' in using local bars or clubs and all direct you straight back to RHP. They are even sponsoring events and house parties locally to drum up support/business.
On RHP sites you can receive messages and participate in most functions of the site without means that paying member can still contact others and at least gain some information about whether they are interested etc.
Our only reason for not chosing RHP was that within 24 hours of joining, despite having a 'no single guys' and 'we only play together' message on our profile we were bombarded with messages that weren't what we are looking for at all......
I hope you all get this sorted, its you guys, the paying members that have created the community that is drawing people in the door so to speak, you should have some say in how new members are introduced.....
just our thoughts....
