Now.. most folks know im a big chick i dont hide it.. so here is a food related question.. Your trying to impress a lover/partners.. be it male or female. What food would you do or use, to impress some one. ??? be it a date.. or dinner picnic and so on
A quality home cooked steak, with boiled baby potatoes and steamed peas, beans, brocoli and corn, fried onion and mushroom with mushroom sauce. Followed by deep dish apple crumble and double whipped cream. Nice bottle of quality champagne to go with it.
never used food to impress someone.... but one of my fav 'looks like its come from a restaurant' meals is sumac, garlic and lemon marinated chicken tenderloins on boiled tatos and fresh green beans with sumac yoghurt and garnished with cashews its so simple but so yum and it looks pretty flash :P
well I have to say a memorable meal which still brings a smile to my face is .... my girl and I bought a kilo of fresh cooked prawns from a seafood co op then we found a small real bread shop and bought a crusty french stick then went to an IGA and got some olives . We then drove to the top of this massive lookout peeled the prawns and put it all together on the french stick broke it in half and ate it ...didnt speak for about half an hour just nice simple food great compnany and a stunning view still memorable 7 years later
Oh some nice ideas.. and things done... Im sure more folk.. have used food, as a way to make things come alive smile
Good grief it depends on the status of your guests. If we are wooing a sophisticated couple, then 'a la carte' cousine is in order and fortunately Mrs nomads_oz is a culinary whiz. A dumb ass couple, might get a boiled frankfurt from us LOL. Seriously though, quality dining is a wonderful prelude to a delightful evening.
I always offer them breakfast! ;-)
hehehehehe nomad... its not a hard question.. food as always played its way in love making, one way or another and cubes... i would of thought lunch more then breakfast smile
A good marinated steak is great but I make a yummy chicken, bacon and spinich lasagna - a nice salad for greens and pull-apart bread. for desert I make a Dutch cherry cheesecake works for me!

Well us as well Rose. It is not just the partaking of the meal, but rather enthralling your senses through the aroma and taste of the cuisine devoured, whilst engaging your playmate for the evening, in the chemistry of seduction.
So are you a good cook Rose and what is your speciality?
Oh, and do you have room for two extra guests at your table?
smile Nomads... I havent been into... difference, in my cooking for a long time. But am getting back into it.. slowly. Would love to say deserts.. but that seems, what folks expect from a big chick.. :) So im still learning to see, what would be my favorite area. I know folks think mainly thats swinging is just that, but i find to get some one to that point, takes more, then just... talking :) Which is why i asked the question :) Always room at the table. :)
