Hi - I'd say 20C is fine at Cobblers - so long as it's not windy.
Generally any hint of the sun gets people down there. But when the wind gets up, it can be really uncomfortable... you'll have to move into the bush ;-)

My experience is that there is always something going on there... admittedly often mostly guys.
Action rarely takes place on the beach itself, which is probably for the best. Explore a bit and I'm sure you'll discover something.

What is the best way to get there?
By car and through judicious use of Google maps. Search for Old Fort Road, Mosman. The beach is a not too long hike along a green path, or a hike down a rocky trail, depending on how fit and nimble you are! Both ways end at the same point.
Park only in marked bays, Grey Ghosts abound!
