A heads up for Melboune doggers while this is mainly of concern to the Gay/bi side of things over the last couple of weeks police plain clothed and unmarked cars have been rading Gay beats around Melbourne and arrests have been made , some posts even said arrests and guys handcuffed so it sounds lke a serious clamp down
As many places are shared by doggers aswell be aware of your surroundings and play with caution for the time being

parks victoria and a number of councils have raised this issue and pressured command to patrol regularly and conduct operations to charge a number of perps of this type of activity , charges are really the only way the operations can be shown to be active and successful , so make no mistake a flash of the bluey's and a hello hello on your way will not justify the costs of patrol and detection.
Whilst the average cop probable just enjoys the augh when statute bodies lobby and cause a response obviously one will be coming.
The number one reported problem with dogging /gay beats is used condoms left about areas children play in and families visit during the day.
good to see they are used stupid to throw them about and attract attention
On the site we found the info it was noted that a park was fully fenced off with only a gate each side , plain clothed cops in unmarked cars watched from both sides then just waited and moved in making arrests and taking guys away in handcuffs so it sounds pretty serious , also stated was this was not the only park to have this happen recently and its happening right across melbourne
Its not just a move along this time around , be careful guys and gals , this is also good reason why posting locations etc to forums is not a good idea , even fake posts to any location make it look busier that it actualy is and attracts unwanted attension
A good start would be to delete the dogging location listing on here and most important THINK about how and what your posting on any site about any given location

Just so people understand the laws relating to this...
The offences that I am aware of that could be applied to dogging in Victoria are:
- Offensive behaviour
- Obscene exposure
Note that you CANNOT be arrested for either of the above offences unless you refuse to give your name and address. You can still be charged of course, but they get your name and address and then send you either a fine in the mail or deliver you a summons to court. If you give your name and address they can't slap you in handcuffs and drag you down to the station. Naturally, if you have outstanding warrants for other offences and the police catch you dogging, then you can get arrested for those other offences.
Obscene exposure requires the genitals to be deliberately displayed in, or within view of, a public place.
If a woman only has her breasts out, then obscene exposure doesn't apply but you could get done for offensive behaviour (which is usually just a ticket, and is the same offence as swearing in public - ie. no big deal).
A caveat to the above is that there is a 3rd offence, for which you CAN get arrested. It is Unlawful Exposure under common law. This is generally only used if you're flashing your bits in areas that are not public space (and not within view of a public space) - such as toilets, stairwells or corridors in private buildings (eg. at work). I say "generally" because I can't see anything which says police can't use this for exposure in public areas too, but I have never heard of it happening.
I went to WGP last Sunday early arvo and noticed security guys in big yellow jackets patrolling the park and carpark. Haven't seen this before at WGP just coppers coming in and out.

Hi all I would be thinking this is a result of recent sexual assults in and around Melbourne! There has been a marked increase since the Jill Mahger case all by repeat offenders. I would more think this is the result more than consentual couple/groups.
AS usual idiots spoil it for everyone!

Cops at wgp again today late arvo, plain clothes, only 3 cars around and they came around to all of us asking for id's and wanting to know what I was doing there etc
I guess his point was upstanding citizens with a dogging habit can choose to smile and relax. They are most welcome to check id and move on..
for all we know all of our interaction on this forum is anyway been records by a certain 3 letter org just incase they need to build a profile of a person sometime in the future.. so a record of each of us is being maintained whether we like it or not.
I checked out wgp about 9pm last night. There was a security guard on duty at the main entrance, he didn't look particularly interested in proceedings, barely even noticed when I drove in, and he was still there when I left around Felt sorry for the bloke standing there in the cold, wonder if he was there all night??

The security bloke well possibly got time and 30% (at least) after 10 pm, possibly time and a half after mid night, all with the chance of stumbling upon some dogging action. Sounds like a great job for security guards out there lol.
actually the last couple of times we have been to WGP it was almost empty... this was over the last 2 months...
so its good timing for the coppers to be doing a sweep. may land some flies.
most dogging action seems to have died down, a couple of swinger parties we went to were lame and tame.
theplaypen now runs events with single chicks when last yr they have 3-4 chicks atleast per party. a guy from brissie who threw parties in melb has stopped coming around now as he has only 1 horny milf and is unable to convince brrise or sydney chicks to come to melb.
a dogging guy we know who went to few swingers parties in the western suburbs is a very pissed man with party hosts who misrepresent numbers to get single blokes to pay up.

There is clearly some sort of blitz on. The Police Paddocks near Dandenong are a popular gay/dogging hangout and there have been cops and security guys there for the past two weeks.
Also cops came into the Crazyhorse in the city the other night looking for "Illegal Soliciting" and "lewd" behaviour.

Lets just hope the police blitz on club x crazy (and/or other club x's) is a passing thing. We don't want the situation to get to a point where couples are too afraid to go in and have sex or play with others, or where every male is too afraid to pull out their penis and have a wank, in fear the cops will come in and throw you in the back of a divvy van. The staff at these venues don't seem to have a problem with what goes on (generally and within limits), and most people who go in to the cinemas know and accept what goes on (generally and within limits). You wonder what has prompted this blitz. Maybe some people really get a shock at certain things, for example I went to dendy club x a few Tuesday nights ago, and I kid you not, there was a bloke about 55, fully naked just walking around the 2 cinemas yelling and demanding a blowie. What a wanker he was, standing against the wall pulling himself and screaming. I think this overt, in your face behaviour by single males is what disturbs some people and leads to a police blitz. This plus soliciting. Probably not couples having a root or single males having a quiet pull.
Cops all over westgate again tonight. They were cruising around in an unmarked souped up late model black ute. They were recording all number plates from what I observed. As I was leaving a divvy van was also arriving

Full on; the cops arrived following a couple's complaint about some guy masturbating in the tiny cinema. I don't know what eventuated. Best to keep your dick in your pants at this cinema for now lol
Be aware that a guilty verdict in an obscene exposure case will require the magistrate to place you on the sex offenders register for at least 8 years. I know of two people that this has happened to, one of whom was just having a pee in a lane on the way home from the pub when the divvy van turned into the lane. High price to pay.
Uniformed officers in an unmarked car at Yarra bend last night. Gave me a real hard time. I guess the thing that we all need to keep in mind is that unless we are caught in the act of doing something illegal, there is no law against siting in your car in a public park or going or a walk in a public park. Ok so it might be unusual to be soon so at strange hours in the dark, but so what? If access to the park is not restricted it is a public place that we are free to be at
