Julien Assange.......director of wikileaks:
'The more secretive or unjust an organisation is, the more leaks induce fear and paranoia in its leadership and planning coterie.
'Hence, in a world where leaking is easy, secretive or unjust systems hit relative to open, just systems. Since unjust systems, by their nature, induce opponents, and in many places barely have the upper hand, mass leaking leaves them exquisitely vulnerable to those who seek to replace them with more open forms of governance.'
I've just signed an Avaaz petition to stop the Wikileaks crackdown.
If anyone is interested you might want to support the campaign, too. Check out the link below and join me in signing:
I agree wholeheartedly with you on this Zabet.
i agree withe the idea.
what i struggle with that people may get killed because of the infomation that is released.
its not the realease of information to the world of underhanded goverments. its the people can get sensitive info and sell it to the highest bidder.
how would it be if the taliban learnt the codes to launch or stop the launch of military ordanance.
or if they used that infomation to send a rocket into a freindly country and the aamericans or australia were blamed for it.
the leaks have other uses.
thats why they want to shut it down.
and who says the info being put out isnt available through a different media anyway.
isnt the founder on trial for a .
or is that a trumpped up charge too.
