■ A FLOOD WARNING for COASTAL RIVERS AND ADJACENT INLAND CATCHMENTS FROM ROCKHAMPTON TO THE NSW BORDER remains current: ■ Fast river and creek rises are occurring or expected in the coastal rivers and streams within the warning area over the weekend.

5th tornado hit Burnett Heads in vicinity of Hunter St at 6:30pm. 2 houses with roof damage & powerlines down.
17 injured now from the Bargara tornado earlier. This storm should continue to drift southward with the tornado threat continuing in this area.
A sixth tornado has hit Queensland's Bundaberg region and forecasters say more could develop, including over Brisbane, as the day wears on.
The low pressure system that was tropical cyclone Oswald is continuing to wreak havoc across the state, five days after it made landfall on Cape York Peninsula.
The system has been hovering over Gladstone for about 48 hours, causing a serious flood threat and forcing the evacuation of about 400 homes.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) has issued severe weather warnings for communities from central Queensland down to the NSW border.
there is a good chance of ongoing tornado activity, including on the Sunshine Coast, in Brisbane, and on the Gold Coast as the low heads south on Sunday.
latest tornado hit Burrum Heads, near Bundaberg, some time before
YES YOU ARE GONNA GET ONE " scenario, the BOM is also monitoring this with a QUOTE OF:
"Reports of destructive winds and possible tornado activity have continued in the Wide Bay and Burnett district overnight. Destructive winds were reported from Burrum Heads approximately 3:30am. These conditions are expected to continue in the Wide Bay and Burnett district and parts of the Southeast Coast district north of Brisbane initially, then gradually extending through remaining parts of the Southeast Coast district and into the eastern Darling Downs and Granite Belt district during the remainder of Sunday. Destructive wind gusts up to 125 km/h and further tornadoes are likely."
So as you can see this system is now Deepening ( Strengthening ) tue to a Trough moving into the region it is apparently going to amplify the system to an Extra tropical low, with winds sustained at 40knots and gusts of upto 60knots all along the coast as this system deepens today.
WOW look at those rainfall totals circled in purple they are huge up north and are starting to pick up in the Northern Rivers too! and thats only these maps, ones that i have access to have close to if not over 300mm in places since 9am ( Yesterday to today 9am ) these have now been reset for the day.
We can expect all areas in the BLUE so everybody to get very very heavy rainfall today which will lead to flash flooding and many creek rises please do not go out of your homes unless you are being urged to evacuate, please please keep the questions reasonable and only important ones as all things should be covered in this update, anything i say will follow to you if you live from Rockhampton to Port Maquarie so please if you read this and live in those areas if you ask will i get hit i will not reply as i am just 1 person tending to over 10 000 as Dylan is working haha.
The northern river and SE QLD will be expecting 150 - 300+mm today which is heaps and if it comes off flooding will occur, Dylan just reported from his work in Casino the drains are overflowing, hence flash flooding already a huge risk, so remember if it flooded forget it and if you are on the Coast batten down for upto Category 1 style winds and very huge surf.
This event is now into / passing its peak, expect damaging winds to continue from the Border South all the way down to Coffs, these damaging winds are now strongest in between Byron Bay and Yamba. Many trees uprooted and huge branches down, we have a storm surge and very high tide forecast tonight so locally low areas will see flash flooding.
Many areas are Cut off, Murwillumnah is on emergency alert as door knockers are coming to evacuate anybody that lives in that area we were there today and it looked like a inland ocean!
Grafton and Pacific HWY have many cut off areas that have diversions but Grafton is going to get to Major flooding tomorrow so i think many more closures will occur.
The wilsons river is on the rise, was just next to it and its rising fast, expected Major flooding on this river tomorrow in the early morning at , more if this rain is heavy.
Was also near Kyogle where the road from Casino to Kyogle is Cut off, this river is expected over 14 meters and Major level by midnight tonight.
please tune into as that is ABC north coast they have helped us locate the floods and they oftenly update on the weather situation.
Please note due to these new bands that have developed in the purple we could see another 100mm around the place by the morning.
So remember the event from here will start easing by the morning however for many of us it is still a very noisy severe night ahead and i hope you all batten down those hatches!
