Ipad advice

Hi Everyone, Can someone tell me why I can view only one cam at a time when I use my Ipad in the Chat rooms ????? Driving me nuts. Please help. Cheers Surdy

Have you bought the extras package? If not you can only view one cam at a time.

Hmmmmm..............I may be technologically challenged but not THAT challenged. Off course I have the extras pack I can watch 5 cams at one time on my PC but not on my Ipad sad

Hope I can get some advice. Thanks Surdy

Our advice would be to get a decent Tablet device lol

Regrettably on the iPad (and also iPhone) you can't install Abode Flash Player (in a nutshell Abode and Apple aren't friends) and consequently viewing cams using this software isn't possible. However there's a different type of way that the cams can be displayed which is by using encoding. The trouble with this is that it's very resource heavy, the encoding and decoding takes a lot of processing and as a result, the site can only offer 1 webcam to you this way. Your PC can and has Abode Flash Player installed which is why viewing 5 webcams is possible.

Thanks Grff i had already figured that it was something to do with flash but was not sure if I could get one cam why I was not getting the remaining 4. It is clear now. Thanks once again. Surdy

Of course they aren't friends, if Apple spent more time and money on development rather than taking everyone to court because it thinks everyone is infinging on their patents, the Ipad might be a halfway decent gadget.

hi all, try Puffin app, allows all 5 cameras to work if u have extras, i cant get the cam on the ipad to work yet.
