On occasion, you will see Gold/silver stars right at the top of the members list, (Depending on the chat your in)These are Aussies helping the (redstars) on the site. We call them moderators. They are members who have met, what admin are looking for, in helping other members.
What moderators CAN do.
When they have information on a site problem/techy things. They pass what they can on, when asked.
They cant fix the techy problems, as such, that's up to them, REDstars. BUT they can give you clues as what may or may not work for you.
They approve photos and ads, check the forum, groups and profiles. Making sure the site rules and AUP are being followed.
Passing things they can not fix, on to admin as well.
They sit in the chat rooms, making sure, they are reachable, for questions.
What they cant do,
Is fix techy problems. 
They can not give you information, about why some one is kicked or banned. That alone is for the account holder that as been either kicked or banned. Just know they have breached rules. You may not see a reason, if in chat. PRIVACY means, moderators, can only talk to admin or the account holders, on the matter.
We can not share private details, If you have had a warning, you will receive a site email or whisper on the matter. If you need to know more, its important you support ticket admin, on the matter.
Moderators, can not give information, without permission from ADMIN. In any form.
And bribing them doesn't work..
